Message from Greensand Country:
Although we can’t all attend the UN Climate Conference COP26, our wonderful planet and its precious resources are very much on our minds at this time.
We are committed to tacking the climate emergency and hope to inspire others to get involved, but we’re also keen that young people who are already actively involved are rightly recognised and celebrated.
In last year’s awards we celebrated with a number of locals groups and schools and individuals as they became Greensand Champions with their positive action
We need them to know that every action, large or small, can help us live more sustainably and protect both Greensand Country and our planet, for the future.
Do you know any enthusiastic active youngsters in our community who deserve recognition for their efforts on their doorstep or beyond?
Why not let us know or nominate them using the form on our website – entries close at the end of January.
Anyone from Greensand Country can become a Greensand Champion – entries are open in the following three categories:
- Individuals aged 10 and under
- Individuals aged 11 – 18yrs
- Groups e.g. schools, uniformed groups, youth groups
Please submit your entry to the Greensand Champions Scheme 2021/22 to champions@greensandtrust.org before 31st January 2022.
