We have received guidance today from NALC (National Association of Local Councils) around legislation that stipulates the calculation of the number of days between issuing an agenda and holding a PC meeting. Legislation states that there must be 3 clear days between the issuing of the agenda and holding the meeting for a PC meeting and 7 days for the Annual Parish meeting, but this cannot include Sundays, bank holidays or days of mourning.
NALC have advised that the current 8 days of mourning must be taken into account, therefore the earliest we can issue our next agenda is Monday the 19th April.
AGPC have always adhered to the legislation to ensure our meetings are held lawfully, so this means our Full Council meeting scheduled for the 19th April will now be pushed back to the 26th April, and the Annual Parish meeting will be pushed back from the 26th April to the 28th April.
