I am writing to update you on our services. During this extraordinary time, Dr Wallace and Partners have taken the difficult decision to move Woburn Surgery’s patient services to Asplands starting from Monday 23rd March 2020. We will continue to provide care and support to all our patients from Asplands medical centre. If you phone Woburn Surgery your call will still be answered.
From Monday 23rd March, all patients who usually collect medication from Woburn should arrange collection from Woburn Sands. Please try to ask a family member or friend to help if you possible. We are developing ways to support our most vulnerable patients with volunteers so if you need help please let us know. Going forward I hope to be able to give you a single contact number for volunteer help.
This is a temporary change to our services so that we can continue to maintain a high level of care for our patients. We are meeting regularly as a team to review the services we provide and to plan. In line with NHS advice we are concentrating on providing urgent care so we have suspended selected non urgent routine checks and services.
At present our online booking service for patients is under review so you can only book an appointment by speaking to reception on the telephone or contacting us through the practice website www.asplandsmedicalcentre.co.uk or https://systmonline.tpp-uk.com or the NHS app. It helps us if patients can use the online options so the phone lines are open for the more vulnerable. We ask that you do not attend the practice for queries but phone or contact us online through your SystmOnline account.
It is very important that you do not enter the surgery if you have a fever or new cough – this would put other patients and our staff at risk. Use the 111 online service https://111.nhs.uk/service/COVID-19/ or ring 111 if you are not online for advice about a fever or new cough.
