*PUBLIC CONSULTATION EVENT – 5TH NOVEMBER 2022*

We are delighted to announce work on the Neighbourhood Plan is progressing. This is YOUR chance to influence the future of YOUR village. Get involved and join us at our drop-in session at the Link Room in the Church on Saturday 5th November 2022 from 10am to 2pm.
We will provide details of the previous consultation outcomes and seek confirmation that key issues/concerns remain. There will be the opportunity to ask questions about the Neighbourhood Plan background and process and make your views known.

In addition to the drop-in session, over the coming months we are proposing to:

• Establish a housing need number for the village;

• Undertake a Call for Sites exercise to establish what land is available outside of the Green Belt for small scale housing development in the Parish to meet any identified need. The ‘Call for Sites’ is an opportunity for individuals, landowners and developers to suggest sites for allocation and will be subject to a robust process of assessment against a specific criteria by our professional advisors;

• Producing a revised Neighbourhood Plan to include housing allocation/s and robust policies to ensure they serve a clear purpose in the context of the area;

• Undertaking further drop-in sessions, meetings and statutory public consultation throughout the process before the Examination and Referendum;

• Regularly updating our website and Facebook page with news on the progress of the Neighbourhood Plan. The key aim will be to work directly with local residents throughout the process to ensure that concerns and aspirations are consistently understood and considered;

Given the benefits of having a Neighbourhood Plan in place, it is critical for its preparation to be supported by the local community. We look forward to receiving your input as matters progress and we hope to see you on 5th November.
